Our gameboard framework
Our Gameboard Framework
Imagine that our company is like a big board game. The main objective of this game is to make money while ensuring that everyone, from our employees to our customers, has a good experience.
Let's talk about how this “game” works and how everyone in the company helps to play it well. Everyone has a role to play and every step is important to achieve victory!
The main activities of our gameboard framework
The 4 Main Moves (Activities):
In the game of business, we have four main moves that we need to make in order to win:
This is where we meet our customers and show them why our services and products are the best.
After selling, we need to ensure that our customers get exactly what they promised, whether it's a product or a service.
After delivering what was sold, we send the bill so that the customer can pay for what they received.
Finally, the last move is to make sure we get paid.
Why is this important ?
These moves are simple, but they represent the heart of our business. Everyone in the company plays an important role in one of these phases, and each one needs to be done well for the game to keep flowing.
.
Mini Games (Projects)
To win the big game, we create small challenges, which are our projects. Each project has a clear objective: to get the sale through to collecting the money as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Why is this important ?
Each project is like a mini-game. When we play well and finish quickly, everyone wins and the game goes on.
Keeping Score (Goals)
As in any game, we have a scoreboard to measure our performance. In our game, we keep score in money, but also in how happy our employees, customers, partners, suppliers and government institutions are with us.
Goals for 2024:
- We want to earn 20 million dollars.
- We want our employees to have a great work experience.
- We want our customers to be extremely satisfied with our services.
- We want our partners to have the best possible experience when working with us.
- We want our suppliers and government institutions to have a positive relationship with us.
-
Why is this important ?
It's not enough just to make money. We need to make sure that everyone who works with us or for us is happy. This helps us grow and keep the game moving.
The Players (Organization)
We have three main teams playing this game:
They are the main players who make the plays (selling, delivering, collecting, etc).
They help the main players by providing what they need to play well.
The management team is like the referee, ensuring that everyone follows the rules and that the game runs smoothly.
Why is this important ?
Everyone in the company plays an essential role. When everyone plays well and follows the rules, the whole team wins.
.
How to know if we're playing well (Performance)
To make sure we're playing well, we use various tools such as audits, surveys and reports. We also have a great game plan that serves as a guide for everyone, and clear communication channels to make sure everyone knows what's going on.
We keep everything organized with weekly and monthly updated scoreboards (the dashboards) to check our progress.
Why is this important ?
It's like a sports team: we always need to keep track of our performance to know where we're doing well and where we can improve. These scores help us make quick adjustments and stay focused on our goals.
Building the Framework
To ensure that we are prepared for success, it is crucial to build a solid structure with 5 key elements: Activities, Projects, Goals, Organization and Performance.
Identify the key moves that guarantee our success.
Create the mini-games (projects) to get the sale to collection efficiently.
Define the scores we want to achieve, both in money and in the happiness of everyone involved.
Ensuring that our team is well structured, with the right mentality and the necessary skills to win the game.
Monitor progress constantly using our scoreboards and tools.
Conclusion:
The Gameboard Framework is like our instruction manual for winning in the business world. It shows us how every part of the company connects and how every move, big or small, is important to achieving our goals.
By keeping everything simple and clear, everyone, from new employees to the most experienced, can understand how to help the company play better and win!
Let's test our understanding!
